At approximately 3:24 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an out-of-control brush fire.

The Sidney Volunteer Fire Department, the N.C. Forest Service, and Beaufort County Emergency Management responded to the scene, with the Sidney department requesting additional assistance from Station 84 in Belhaven.
