I have a Cocobolo pen blank that has a few cracks in it, I don't want to throw it away, I'm wondering if I can use thin ca glue in the crack and then put it in a vice until the glue dries.

I've used olive wood in the past for pens, and never had any problems using CA for the finish. I now have a set of S & P grinders ready for finishing and I'm not sure what the best type of finish would be.
