I went to the range today. A friend wanted to shoot (to get in practice for his CCP renewal) and I wanted to sort some things out. with some long guns (and 50 practice rounds of 22 LR from my Ruger Mk 3 pistol never hurts my frame of mind).

I have been searching for a better sighting system for my Model 94 AE Trapper 30-30. I just mounted a Bushnell Red Dot without bore...

So I have been wanting to get it for a while but funds been tight. I really like this set up as I run a thumb up grip when not shooting off a rest. Should look and feel great. I'm gonna change out the vortex scope for my Romeo red dot for home protection. so it's the romeo, this grip and my o light odin s with the top mounted switch. I think that's all I need except the warhamme...

This is a very interesting survey about who is carrying and when.

There are the obvious uncertainties inherent in polling, and I personally take official crime stats with a bit of salt, but the conclusions are probably valid.

I use the 50 count MTM green plastic cases for my reloaded ammo. I have been using a piece of paper placed inside the case to identify.

What easy on/easy off labels do the folks here use to identify the load (bullet, powder and grain load, etc.) that I can stick on the top of the case?
