Looking for any models that bear these serial numbers. During this time S&W made frames in batches.
Any round butt frames in this range?

Closest I've seen info on is 3K79550 and it's a square butt Model 67.
I've seen some Models 15, 17 & 48 (all square butt) in the 3K7xxxx.

1919 Colt Model 1917, 1917 Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer, 1942 Colt Police Positive in 38 S&W and a S&W 1905 4th in 38 S&W.

No practise, just load a shoot at 25 yards. And then at 7 yards off-hand one handed, etc.

Recently bought a 5 screw highway patrolman and found a 9 digit number scratched in it. Did someone put their social security number on the gun? Any thoughts??
