The first Grand League event of the 2026 racing season took place on Saturday, 23rd May, following the cancellation of Skibbereen Regatta and Lough Rinn Regatta.

Hundreds of crews travelled from clubs across the country to race at the Dublin Metropolitan Regatta, which provided an exciting opening weekend for the Grand League and set the tone for the series ahead.
