Where are you located? If you could make it to the western edge of Pennsylvania this coming weekend the Western PA Solo Canoe Rendezvous is going on Saturday and Sunday at Coopers Lake in Moraine Park. There are usually 6 to 8 dealers bringing demos and 60 to 100 canoes you can check out and try on the tiny pond. Or on the 3,255 acre Lake Arthur 5 minutes up the road.

King of the Ocean,
I built a Pygmy Coho years ago and enjoyed the process. I paddled it for awhile and sold it for a little more than the kit cost. I went back to canoes.
