BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Long Island University claimed its second consecutive Brenda Weare Commissioner's Cup, the NEC announced on Tuesday. The Sharks also repeated as champions of the NEC Men's Commissioner's Cup.

Athens, Ga. – After capturing their fourth NEC Championship last week, the Sharks moved on to the NCAA Tournament.

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Graduate student Jamal Fuller of the Long Island University men's basketball team and junior Martin Navelsaker Beitveit of the LIU men's swimming and diving team were both named winter NEC Scholar Athletes for their respective sports, the conference announced Friday.

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Long Island University student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom during the spring 2026 semester, recording a 3.40 overall GPA in the spring and a 3.37 cumulative GPA. At LIU, 38 athletic programs achieved above a 3.0 team GPA during the spring, while 115 student-athletes received a 4.0 GPA in the spring.

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament returns to Athens this weekend as regional host University of Georgia welcomes a four-team field that includes Long Island University for the double-elimination Athens Regional.
