Oracle 26ai 26.2 now introduces the WAIT (and NOWAIT) Clause for INSERT / UPDATE / DELETE / MERGE DMLs. We have had a WAIT Clause for SELECT FOR UPDATE statements but not for these "simple" DML statements.
