I like to get people thoughts on using additives for green water in a new pond and bog filter.

I think in time when the plants have established the bog will be well good enough to keep the water clean, but at the moment with hot weather and new (small) plants in the bog, I've got green water.

I’m at the point of rendering a new pond, but alittle confused regarding water proofer to top render coat prior to painting with a water based pond paint.
I’ve heard some say no proofer to be added others say add it, but if added, that would prevent paint from penetrating into render, allowing it to possibly peel.

I am determined to grow a Lotus with a bloom! Several folks on here gave me some great advice. I stored the Lotus in the pot in my garage and had it covered. When is the best time bring it out. I live in Central PA. Any advice would be appreciated!
