Hardwood flooring around a Fireplace.2 weeks

I'm laying down 3/4" hardwood flooring. I was going to frame around our fireplace, but like everything in this house, it's not remotely straight or square. ( 8' section is around 3/8" bowed. ) I'm too tired to fit the framing and opting to disc grind a 3/4" slot under the bricks. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Already finished my LVP install… now stuck with a flush stair nose problem2 weeks

I’ve finished installing the LVP everywhere except for the stairs.
