So late last week I bought a mini drone to get reacquainted with flying and remote control. Not much to worry about with airspace restrictions, I’m fortunate to live rural. And just bought an SD card for photos and video. Ready to go!

I was flying around canyons, cliffs and plateaus around MOAB recently, and wanted to fly up above several masa’s that are more than 400 FT. Of course, my flight altitued was restricted to 400 ft. . But If I climb up to the top of the 1000 FT masa I can launch and climb to 400 ft above that new higher launch level. Is there a way I can fly to the restricted altitude above the hig...

Thank you for creating this community. I have very little experience with drones, and the experience I did have was many years ago, and also painful. It’s not something I can talk about. That being said, I plan on purchasing my first personal drone this weekend and look forward to getting reacquainted with the skies.
