I tried adding some more red and yellow overtones here and there to brighten things up. I didn't add as much to the petals on the bottom and as a result they don't pop out as much as the others. It's not as noticeable in real life. I'll have to decide if I want to add some more color to the petals at the bottom.

I'm trying to get back to painting after my cross country move and now I have so many trees for inspiration. So many greens too! The light and shadow patterns change by the minute and I am enjoying studying them. I think I chose the square format so I wouldn't get distracted by the foreground and the sky. Inktense used like watercolor in Bee WC Journal, 5"x7".

I had fun with this one, trying to work on value contrast and trying to make it pop. The paper was able to take multiple layers for the dark water areas without a problem which I was pleased with.
