You can see she has beheaded the Short- billed Corella to make it easier to carry .The prey is always facing tail to tail with most raptors as far as I know for ease of carry. You can see the 'Tomial' tooth on the top of the beak which fits into a corresponding slot in the lower Mandible. Interesting colouration on this bird. Could be a young-ish one .We will see next season.

I manages to creep up on this hare, they are difficult to spot at this time of the year due to the height of the crops. It was early morning in shaded area, this is hand held, I took quite a few images gradually reducing my shutter speed down to 1/40 sec.
