I’ve recently had the chance to do a proper side-by-side comparison between the Ming Shi 5000S adjustable and the Merkur Progress 500, using the same blades and comparable settings over a number of shaves.

The short version is that the shaves themselves are remarkably similar, but the razors are not.

These new A&E inexpensive creams/soaps are spot on! Six out of seven had amazing scents. The Equestrian and 60's Cologne are my favorites. Dirty Ginger smells just like ginger ale soda. Cherry Cola is spot on too.
