I’ve been M.I.A. for two weeks as we had family from the USA visiting then we had a mini-break, also with the very hot weather (for us Brits anyway) it was too much for any modelling or spraying. However I’m now back at the bench and I finally got the Miniart 1/35 RSO/01 primed using Tamiya LP-3 Flat Black;
I should be able to start applying the dunkelgelb base ...

The cab was sprayed with grey primer yesterday then inbetween rain showers today the burgundy was sprayed. This will (once again) be left for the paint to harden off for what will be nearly a fortnight as we have family visiting this week then we’re away for a few days the following week, when we come back I’ll try not to screw it up a...
Well it WAS going ok;
After trying to polish the cab and bonnet I noticed a line of flash on both doors. “Not a problem” I thought and trimmed it off with a view to respraying it, however the problem came when I sprayed the cab as the paint underneath bubbled and became a mess very quickly.
Mr Muscle oven cleaner didn’t touch it so I ended up using VM...
With the Miniart RSO and Pak.40 built and before making a start on the Miniart 1/48 Focke Wulf Fw190D-9, I managed to get the body work of the AMT 1/25 Ford pickup sprayed;
I used an automotive automotive rattle can of Ford Burgundy Red and the paint will be left to harden off for a few days. I also sprayed the chrome parts with Tamiya LP-48 Sparkling Silver;
The build review article has been done today and sent to The Modelling News for publishing so when it’s ready, I’ll post a link so you can read all about it. In the meantime here’s one of the ‘glamour’ shots taken with my digital SLR rather than the phone;
