[UN News] From a police station in Germany to the UN Mission in South Sudan, Stephanie Königs has been talking to UN News about her journey to becoming a peacekeeper - and the importance of trust and empathy in the field.

[WFP] In South Sudan's Jonglei State, families like Chol's are trapped by conflict, displacement and rising hunger, as violence destroys livelihoods and leaves communities struggling to survive without food or support. Countrywide, more than half of the population faces crisis hunger levels.

[WFP] WFP is delivering vital food and nutritional assistance to hundreds of thousands of people in Akobo East, as insecurity, infrastructure damage and the onset of the rainy season hamper operations.

[State Department] The Department of State, in close coordination with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is continuing to mount a rapid and comprehensive response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda. The United States is proud to be the largest financial contributor to the Ebola response effort.
