Hey everyone,

I’m getting ready to mate the transmission to my 351C before installing everything into my 1972 Mustang Convertible. The car has the original 4-speed Toploader with what I believe is the factory Hurst shifter.

My concern is that I don’t think I’ll be able to drop the engine and transmission in as an assembly with the shift lever still attached, so...

I did a ground-up on my 1973 Mustang that I finished in 2018. I replaced/rebuilt everything, and I mean everything! I did a complete color change, so it's not Concours. I did try to keep it as close to correct as possible, though. It's had little use after I finished it as I only put 3K miles on it. I'm wondering what a reasonable low end for the car might be.

Last night I found that one of my sway bar bushings is bad. I don't remember upgrading the sway bar but it has the red polyurethane bushing and when I put a set of dial calibers on it I got a reading of 1.0835. So I would think this is a 1" bar. Am I correct in my thinking??

I do see the other similar threads, but I wanted to ask about my specific setup. I just got my 1972 Convertible back. Shop did a great restoration, but my Exhaust is way too loud. I like the classic car rumble, but it is too loud at idle and over 2000 RPM's. I have stock manifolds and dual pipe exhaust and muffler kit that I bought from CJ Pony parts.
