Kay Yow Golf Classic

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope the off-season is treating you well. I’m reaching out today to ask you to save the date for

what promises to be a fantastic event — the Kay Yow Golf Event on August 16th and 17th.

Many of you live in the Greensboro area or are within an easy drive, and I would love for you to

join us. This event is always an enjoyable and meaningful experience filled with great fellowship

and fun activities.

The weekend begins on Sunday, August 16th, with a welcome reception at Grandover Country

Club. The reception features outstanding food and drinks, golf simulators, excellent speakers,

and great camaraderie. We’ve had tremendous turnout in past years, and we would love to

continue that tradition. Let’s increase the officials’ presence as we proudly stand out once again

in our “highlighter” T-shirts!

Back by popular demand, we are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Pickleball Outing! Also

returning is DJ Kihei, guaranteed to provide entertainment for everyone. The pickleball outing

will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sedgefield Country Club prior to the reception.

No experience is necessary — but having a great time is required!

On Monday morning, August 17th, the golf tournament tees off at 7:00 a.m. at Grandover

Country Club.

Please know that you are welcome to participate in all of the activities or simply choose the ones

that interest you most. You do not have to play golf to attend the reception, and you do not have

to attend the reception to participate in pickleball.

are an official. We would love to see you there and hope you’ll join us for a memorable and

worthwhile weekend.

For those of you planning to attend the reception, please provide Dee Kantner your T-

shirt size. As mentioned above, she likes to dress us in obnoxiously loud colors to let

everyone see our incredible turn-out. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate
